R&T ACTIVITIES

Within the framework of ANCO corporate activities, research and technology (R&T) has three (3) main objectives :

1.  the design and development of new products.
2.  the enhancement of local added-value content.
3.  the introduction of new technologies in the corporate portfolio.


ANCO R&T Dpt. expertise focuses on the following thematic areas :

a.  fleet management systems
b. data acquisition systems
c. embedded microprocessor systems
d. communication interfacing with wired and wireless networks
e.  low-power converters


ANCO R&T services to third parties include all electronic and mechanical design at individual board or unit level as well as at complete product or solution level.
Depending on the customer application – need,  the service offering incorporates accordingly part or the whole of the following :

• Product definition and specifications.
• Analysis of requirements and design capture.
• Product  industrialization.
• Technical support for product EMC certification  (CE Mark ).
• product re-design for

-  cost reduction.
-  power consumption reduction.
-  size reduction.
-  replacement of obsolete parts and adaptation of existing design.


In order to carry out its mission, ANCO R&T Dpt. is equipped with a substantial infrastructure, that consists of :

1.  a complete electronics laboratory with all necessary instrumentation for 
     prototype assembly and testing.
2.  a comprehensive computer – aided design package  (CAD) for electronic
     schematics, printed-circuit board layouts and mechanical drawings.

3.  a software development suite for embedded applications design in Windows
     CE operating environment and selected families of microprocessors.
